Wine rack repurposing
Google shows me all the same ideas, more or less, again and again: magazine storage, towel storage, shoe storage, fabric storage. None of them are quite hitting the mark. Any brilliant ideas for how to repurpose this lovely piece? Photo seen here: http://i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu205/transcontinental/3kc3mb3ob5O35X55R3b8ib0a3b5f93dda1964.jpg

It stands 30 inches tall and 18 wide. I probably would use it for towels, honestly, if my bathroom was large enough, but it's not; plus, well, I only own a few towels. I would like to use it in my sewing/ craft area, but rolled fabric in there just looks kind of messy to me. The spaces are too large to hold scissors, etc. etc....

Open to ideas. Thanks!

rolled up sweaters? you could also add some cardboard or wood to it to make it more shelf like to hold things like scissors.

Have you tried looking on pinterest.com ? It's crazy addicting and I've found a million different repurpose ideas, as well as some amazing recipes and things I "need" to get for my house

Glassware rack? Shoe rack? Hold canned goods/other pantry items? That is a lovely wine rack. Jealous! I hope you think of something good to use it for.

You could put empty coffee cans (or other cans, whatever fits) in there, perhaps painted different colors. Then they would be more able to hold odds-n-ends without little things falling through.

On a related note, I've seen some very cool wine racks made from empty cans screwed together.

I was thinking this, only with mason jars.

Mine has larger holes, but I put spices (labeled on the lids) and my vinegar or oil jars in mine.

i had a rack that was sort of similar to this - i was able to fit the large mason jars in the holes. you can fill them with crafty notions (or whatever!) and label the tops of the lids so you know what's in there :)

holding glass recyclables till they need to go out? Fill each downward side of the diamond with cardboard vees, and use it for rolled socks?
